Privacy Policy
IBEX is designed to need as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what is handled, why, and what rights you have.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the ibexwallet.co.uk website and the IBEX Wallet application. IBEX is a non-custodial wallet provider: we do not operate accounts holding your assets.
2. What we never collect
- Your recovery phrase, private keys, wallet password or PIN.
- Custody of your funds or the ability to move them.
- Identity documents for creating or using a wallet.
These are never transmitted to IBEX and cannot be requested by our support team.
3. Data handled on your device
Wallet data - keys, addresses, labels and settings - is stored locally on your device in encrypted form. It is under your control and is removed if you uninstall the application or reset the wallet, so keep an offline backup of your recovery phrase.
4. Website data
When you visit this website, standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and requested pages may be processed by our hosting infrastructure to deliver and secure the site. Essential cookies or local storage may be used to remember interface preferences, such as dismissing the domain update banner. See the Cookie Policy for details.
5. Information you send us
If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we process the name, email address and message content you provide in order to respond. Do not include wallet credentials in any message.
6. Blockchain data
Transactions you broadcast are recorded on public blockchain networks. That data is public, permanent and outside the control of IBEX. Balance and history displays may require queries to public network infrastructure.
7. Legal bases
Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the website and respond to enquiries, consent where required for non-essential cookies, and legal obligation where the law requires retention or disclosure.
8. Retention
Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any related follow-up. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and reliability purposes.
9. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers acting on our behalf (for example hosting and email delivery) under appropriate contractual terms, or disclosed where required by law.
10. Your rights
Subject to UK GDPR, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold about you, object to or restrict certain processing, and request portability. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
11. Contact
Privacy enquiries: support@ibexwallet.io. Security reports: security@ibexwallet.co.uk.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the product or applicable law changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
